Project Description

The Millers House Killeen Co Meath

A former miller’s house of 19th century appearance but evolving from much older buildings and once part of the Killeen estate of the Plunketts, Earls of Fingall. The building is a protected structure. The house was very dilapidated when acquired by the current owner. The miller’s house was sensitively repaired and restored for use as self-catering holiday accommodation.

Scope Of Works

We worked closely with the client and architect on the restoration of the cottage. We made new sliding sash windows to match the appearance of originals. We also made new bespoke shutterboxes on all windows. External doors were crafted as per architects spec, along with all interior doors, architraves, skirting & moulds.
